Houston Education Foundation seeks to support future pastors in their theological education. Many theological students must work and study at the same time in order to support their families. Many therefore study online or work full time while trying to successfully complete a seminary degree.
Houston Education Foundation was founded in order to relieve this burden. We provide no interest loans to seminary students who are preparing for pastoral ministry or international missions. We do not want future ministers and ministers to be burdened either with loans that increase through high interest payments or to have to work so much that they cannot successfully complete a seminary degree.
At the same time we believe firmly in local, in person theological education. Many students have a hard time finding a local job that is flexible enough to work and study full time in a residential setting. We aim to help these students by relieving this financail burden. by providing no interest loans to cover the costs of tuition and books.
Students must be enrolled in a masters degree (typically an M.Div or Th.M) and be residential full time students at an accredited theological seminary.
Students must submit an application before the deadline.
Students must agree to the payment terms if approved.
Houston Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
